I’m Nandu Sasidharan, a doctoral candidate in economics at Tuscany University’s PhD program. I am currently in the Job Market. Formerly I was a visiting research scholar at the University of Groningen, Netherlands and a scholar in residence with Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. I completed my master’s in Economics from CESP, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, and later worked as an Academic Associate in the Economics Area at IIM Kozhikode, India. I am also the co-founder of Economiga, an initiative that aims to bridge the asymmetry in the field of economics by building a community.

My research interests lie broadly in the realms of Development Macroeconomics, Public Finance, Political Economy, Economic Dynamics, and Behavioural Macroeconomics. I am primarily working on themes such as public debt, dual economies, structural change, fiscal policy, heterogeneous agents, herd behaviour, and complexity.
